A business executive, Jeffery Scott Fraser is the former CEO of NIC Inc., an information service provider based in Olathe, Kansas. Jeffery S. Fraser enjoys watching classic films in his spare time and counts Casablanca among his favorites. At the height of World War II, Casablanca, Morocco, was a waiting point for refugees fleeing war-torn Europe. However, exit letters, which allowed the bearer to move freely in German-controlled Europe, were hard to get. The film Casablanca begins with Ugarte, a notorious dealer, murdering two German officials to get hold of a cache of exit letters. Afterward, he gives them to Rick, an American expatriate and nightclub owner who fought with the loyalists in Spain, for safe keeping. German officer Major Strasser and French police officer Captain Louis Renault are determined to retrieve the letters so that they do not fall into the hands of notorious Czech resistance leader Victor Lazlo, who just escaped a Nazi concentration camp and is on his way to Casablanca. They arrest Ugarte. Later on, they reach out to Rick but he remains tight-lipped. Lazlo and his companion Ilsa arrive in Casablanca and go to Rick’s night club for a series of meetings. It is here that Rick meets Ilsa, with whom he had been in love with years ago. They realize they still love each other. Later, Lazlo is arrested when police break up one of his meetings, but before his arrest he had asked Rick to give Ilsa the letters to escape Casablanca. Rick sells his night club, tricks the police into releasing Lazlo, and then hands Lazlo and Ilsa the letters to escape Casablanca, knowing that by doing so, he may never see Ilsa again. Afterward, he strikes up a rapport with Renault and the two head for the Free French garrison at Brazzaville.
